Today dear friend I would like to introduce you to Mr. Joseph Caspar of Bologna, Italy. And Mr. Caspar lived in the 18th. Century and was not privileged enough to receive a lot of schooling, and as Destiny always does, one day Mr. Caspar heard a Priest who was teaching some other kids in Greek and Latin. And because of his great mind, he was able to eavesdrop whenever those lessons were being given and soon learned both languages. He was speaking Greek and Latin perfectly, because of his focus and the greatness of his mind. And mind you, he did not have a text book like the other kids who were in the formal classroom, nor was he personally coached with his pronunciation.

But wait the story about a great healthy mind gets better, because later on Mr. Joseph Caspar joined the Priesthood and later on became Cardinal Mezzofanti. And as you well know in the Catholic Faith Religion, as you move up in the ranks you get the title of a name of a previous higher up of the Faith, like each Pope. And as you might presume, Mr. Caspar made it his mission to study languages since he has discovered that Destiny had given him a gift. The Cardinal soon spoke a whopping 53 languages, and then he learned another 61 languages but he was semi – fluent in those. Additionally, he understood 72 dialects perfectly but he could not speak them yet, for as you know when you are learning a language it is always easier to understand than to speak.

Mr. Caspar or Cardinal Mezzofanti had a bit of a hard time with one difficult language, and this language was Chinese. And I say that because it took him 4 months to learn this hard language with all it's symbols, and he learned all 114 languages plus 72 dialects while staying at home in his own Country; he had never traveled. Wow! He makes feel embarrassed about the 5 languages that I speak. And so now do you see how great the human mind can be?. And of course all the great Psychologists with their limited understanding would tell you that something is wrong with you if you were to focus your mind and use the language part of your brain to achieve such a feat. And it is always amazing to me how much hypocrisy we suffer within our own family and society at large. Because when you are a child they remove all handcuffs, by telling you all the time that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. But after setting you up like this, then they put on the shackles by telling you as you get older that: You have to be realistic, you need to live in the real world, you need to stay within the lines or just get a job – get married – have kids and then retire.
